Alcheringa Hostel is a community governed not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to providing excellence in care and lifestyle options for people aged 55 and over. The facility provides both permanent and respite care accommodation to clientele with Aged Care Assessment.

Alcheringa will, within the current support parameters, care for residents as their level of dependency increases. Alcheringa is an accredited and certified aged care home that operates within the regulatory requirements of the Aged Care Act 1997 and all other governing legislation and professional standards of practice.

The facility is located on the finge of Swan Hill in the new Tower Hill Estate.

Alcheringa comprises of 74 rooms including 2 respite rooms. Public transport, bus and taxis are available from the front door.

The Facility provides:

• Cosy retreats, areas for personalized gatherings and tea making facilities

• Twenty four-hour personal care services, access to emergency care and allied health services
• Staff are rostered on duty 24 hours per day to provide care and services, based on individual resident's needs.
