Alcheringa Current Services

Alcheringa Hostel currently provides Residential Aged Care consisting of 74 Commonwealth approved places including 2 respite.

In July 2005, Alcheringa launched a new mission to expand its care and lifestyle services, accommodation / housing options to the broader community of the aged and retirees of Swan Hill region.

In July 2006, Alcheringa applied to the Department of Health Ageing to become an Approved Provider to be eligible in the near future to obtain funded places for Community Care, Flexible Care and Extended Aged Care Packages.

Alcheringa has expanded the service model from a single provider of Residential Care to holistic services that promote lifestyle choices, a community hub and community connections which are responsive of social health trends, government policy and to community expectations.

Alcheringa's core business will continue to be servicing the care and lifestyle needs and aspirations of our aged communities. From now and into the future the core business of Alcheringa will be delivered through: Residential Aged Care - Ageing in Place The implementation of Community Care Services, social and wellness programs The development of Optional Housing and Units where access to services are available The development of a Community Wellness facility.
