Alcheringa Hostel

In response to new, improved aged care standards and subsequent new Government Aged Care regulations, Alcheringa Hostel has relocated to a purpose built facility in May, 2008.

This exciting new facility occupies its own secure precinct within VicUrban's residential development, Tower Hill. Tower Hill is located on the fringe of the thriving Victorian rural centre of Swan Hill.

This Residential Aged Care facility consists of 75 beds and includes a specialised dementia facility. The facility has been designed to provide first class accommodation and address much inefficiency experienced at the Rutherford Street premises.

Swan Hill Village

Part of the strategy enabling Alcheringa to be self-sustaining and less dependent on Government funding, is the additional revenue that will be raised by the over 55s residential community, Swan Hill Village, planned for the adjacent Tower Hill site. The Village will be owned and operated by Alcheringa and will not only provide independent living options for over 55s but also give many of the partners of Alcheringa's residents the opportunity to live next door to their loved ones. It will include:

• A fully pre-planned village featuring 150 architect designed house and land packages ranging from 2 bedroom duplexes up to spacious three bedroom homes, catering for a range of needs and budget considerations.



• A Country Club offering resort-style facilities including a sport bar, shop, wellness centre,  gymnasium, theatre, shop, community kitchen and barbeque area, computer centre and activities rooms.
